After two years of virtual sessions, Telstra Health was delighted to host our residential aged care User Group Meetings in person throughout the month of August.
Taking place across Australia, our residential aged care clients had the opportunity to hear about our longer-term strategy and see demonstrations of recent enhancements and some exciting new aged care solutions.
AN-ACC and clinical management – all in the one solution
From 1 October 2022, the Australian National Aged Care Classifications (AN-ACC) funding model will replace the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) in residential aged care. To support these historic changes, Telstra Health has introduced AN-ACC management functionality within our Resident Manager and Clinical Manager solutions.
Clients were shown a demonstration of new AN-ACC management features, including assessment and estimator tools and reports, as well as previews of additional AN-ACC management features set to be introduced in the coming weeks.
New eNRMC and Data Warehouse solutions
To support the adoption of the government’s Electronic National Residential Medication Chart (eNRMC) by residential aged care providers from June 2023, Telstra Health has developed MedPoint, the new eNRMC compliant module within our Medication Management solution.
MedPoint allows GPs to electronically create and manage medication charts, while Pharmacists can use the electronic chart to dispense and pack medication. For residential aged care providers, the manual process of sending charts to the pharmacy is removed.
The User Groups also highlighted the new aged care Data Warehouse, which allows providers to access their raw data to get a better understanding of their resident, staff and business outcomes.
CareKeeper: Care interactions in the palm of your hand
Telstra Health’s award-winning CareKeeper app was showcased at the User Groups, which enables aged care staff to quickly view, action and record care in real-time via a mobile device. With an icon-based design, staff can easily identify the tasks that need completing in required time frames while at the resident’s side.
Released in March this year, CareKeeper is already proving a fast favourite with providers, with staff surveyed experiencing an average time saving of 25 minutes per shift by documenting quickly and easily by the resident’s side, rather than at the Nurses’ station.
Telstra Health would like to thank everyone that helped make these events such a success. We look forward to sharing more exciting initiatives with you over the coming months.
