Whether your employees are working from home, in frontline positions or are based overseas, they can access Australian-based medical professionals through our Virtual Care Solutions and Employee Assistant Program (EAP) * and COVID-19 Support Package.

Virtual Care Solutions is a virtual 24/7 service for employees that provides remote access to support via phone or video with healthcare practitioners in Australia.  

If an employee requires medical assistance, they can access Virtual Care Solutions in accordance with their company’s preferred contact arrangements. Once their needs have been assessed they will be referred to an Australian-based healthcare professional for a one-to-one virtual consultation by phone or video, and this generally occurs within one hour of referral.

Virtual Care Solutions enable:

  • Australian-based clinicians to provide advice, treatment, prescriptions, medical certificates by phone or video where appropriate
  • Australian-based clinicians to discuss an individual’s symptoms or concerns
  • Australian-based clinicians to provide recommendations for onward care
  • Fast and convenient service available 24/7
  • Patients to receive a copy of their health summary at the end of their consultation
  • Employers to ensure employees receive Australian standards of medical information and consultation regardless of location

The add-on Employee Assistance Program (EAP), delivers a comprehensive employee support package using a proactive and preventative approach. The EAP package uses a new approach to employee support called Stepped Care. This approach is about ensuring that employees are matched with the right type of support for them at the right time using a technology platform. 

One in five employees will have a diagnosable mental illness this year1 but many employees don’t actively seek out support for their mental health needs in the workplace, even though they might be dealing with a mental health issue.

The program assesses the specific wellbeing needs of your employees and provides useful insights to help manage and support potential at-risk groups.
