Telstra Health’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Kyra Clinical, has been recognised as one of only two EMR vendors that scored above the market average* in the Oceania region, as reported in the KLAS Asia/Oceania EMR 2022 First In-Depth Look at Regional Market Share & Vendor Performance report. KLAS Research is an independent research firm that provides information and insights on the performance of healthcare technology (Healthcare IT - HIT) vendors.

The recently published report which focused on EMR performance in the Asia/Oceania regions shows Kyra Clinical has been acknowledged for customer excellence and product enhancements in a recently published KLAS report.

The KLAS report provided an overall performance score to each EMR included in its research based on participating customer interviews. On a 100-point scale Kyra Clinical received an overall performance score of 74* out of 100, placing it above market average among other Oceania vendors included in the report.

Kyra Clinical also received above market average scores in standard software evaluation metrics including product quality, ease of use, proactive service, money’s worth and quality phone and web support.

Commenting on Telstra Health’s EMR, customers interviewed by KLAS stated Kyra Clinical has had “significant improvements to product stability and the user interface”. In particular highlighting, “One thing that I really like about the solution is that it has a mobile app that can function on iPads. We have a lot of clinicians who do community-based, home-visit work, so the system’s app is very useful for them. That is really positive.”

Kyra Clinical customers also noted a number of developments, including “better relationships and numerous product enhancements, and the latter has resulted in expanded functionality, enhanced stability and upgrade quality, and improved usability.”

Kyra Clinical is Australia’s only home grown EMR solution. With over 30 modules easily configurable to help meet public and private health facilities’ needs, Kyra Clinical securely and efficiently captures and manages patient information across the entire patient journey and supports clinicians with providing high-quality patient care.

Telstra Health’s Hospital Care Executive, Christopher Norton, said, “We are committed to investing in our digital health solutions to ensure they are continuously creating a positive impact for our customers and the work they do in improving care and patient experience.

“The results shown in KLAS’ independent research report provide important benchmarks that we can measure against and improve on to ensure we continue enhancing Kyra Clinical to create even better customer experiences and support more efficient and effective healthcare delivery in hospitals.”

Telstra Health’s General Manager of Customer & Clinical Engagement, Hospital Care, Tricia Liebke, said, “Investment in an EMR is a significant decision for a hospital, and being able to make an informed decision based on objective information is incredibly important. KLAS’ independent research provides an opportunity for hospitals to make an informed decision about the most suitable EMR solution for them.
