Tell me more1800RESPECT is delivered by Telstra Health on behalf of the Australian Government. 1800RESPECT is reaching more people in need of support after the introduction of new SMS and video call channels.
The SMS channel, launched on the 8 December 2023, and the video call channel, launched on 12 March 2024, introduced new ways for people experiencing violence to connect with 1800RESPECT’s counselling, information and support services.
The new channels are available alongside existing phone call and online chat channels, improving accessibility of the service and enabling service users to reach out for support in a way that best suits their needs and circumstances.
